“Wild for the Night” doesn’t do justice in summarizing the energy felt in Sacramento Friday night, as rapper A$AP Rocky brought the anticipated Injured Generation tour to Golden 1 Center.
Coming off the success of his latest album Testing, the Harlem rapper fittingly emerged on stage wearing a crash test dummy mask and donning a custom-made Prada vest, emblazoned with a crash test symbol. (Only A$AP could successfully combine crash tests and high fashion).
The rapper kicked the night off with “A$AP Forever” before moving right into chart-topper “Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” – never giving the crowd a moment to stop raging.
From start to finish, A$AP kept the show interactive. Whether it be directing mosh pits, bringing fans on stage, or leaping into and surfing the crowd, he made an arena full of people feel noticed. For fans, this wasn’t just a concert — it was an experience.
“When you’re at an A$AP Rocky concert, you’re family,” he once paused to assure his fans.
There was never a dull moment, as the artist made sure to hit each box on any concert-goers checklist. This included plenty of pyrotechnics, confetti, a few floating cars, and an elongated stage that made for the perfect close-up.

As the “A$AP” chants and mosh-pitting eventually came to an end, we said goodbye to the rapper who made Sacramento feel so alive. We came, we saw, and we praised the Lord that we got to spend our Friday night with the always epic A$AP Rocky.
